Trello is the friendliest project tool ever made, and that is not faint praise. You understand a board in four seconds without anybody explaining it, it is free for small groups, and it never makes you feel stupid. For tracking the state of things, it remains excellent, which is why so many teams still have one open.
Where UnaTask fits better
UnaTask keeps the part of a board that works, cards you can see and move, and adds the part that is missing: when. Trello answers what stage is this in. UnaTask answers when is this happening. You still get a board, and you also get a calendar the cards can sit on by the hour.
Is UnaTask a good Trello alternative for a small team?
Yes, and it is the most common reason people move: the board stopped being enough once the team had more work than week. If the board is still working for you, there is no reason to leave.
Is UnaTask more expensive than Trello?
Trello is free for up to ten collaborators and $5 or $10 per user per month after that. UnaTask is €10 per seat with everything included, so it costs more than free and buys you the calendar, booking, meeting notes and dependencies.
Can I keep working the way I did in Trello?
Mostly, yes. There is a board view with the same drag and drop, so the muscle memory carries over. The new part is dropping a card onto Tuesday at ten.
